"I participated in GHEI as an undergraduate at Johns Hopkins. What I saw in Humjibre inspired me to pursue a major in public health and ultimately go on to medical school.  I want to thank you for the impact that GHEI had on me and professional growth. I will always remember how my brief experience in Humjibre shaped me."

Academic Partnerships

Faculty, student groups or students wishing to organize a group may contact Dr. Diana Rickard at rickard@ghei.org to discuss.  We have had several partnerships over the last 20 years and currently partner with UCLA's pediatric residency program.  Pediatric residents visit annually to do neonatal resuscitation training with providers throughout our district.

The highest priority in a partnership is identifying GHEI needs or community needs that can be met in a short stay while students can authentically contribute to our community.
